Short trip to an interesting island. Castle, nature hike, and snorkeling here are the attractions. Very nice afternoon with marvelous views of Cannes and vicinity!

Excellent trip there and back and the crew were very helpful. The boat left on time and arrived to pick us up on time.
A great all-round experience.
Go directly to the ticket window

It was a great trip, but could have been done more cheaply. On line it was not possible to pay less for children. Going directly to the ticket window in the old port allows to pay less for children. We bought through Viator because we were worried we could not get a seat in August. There were seats available to those who walk up in the morning.
Idyllic island jaunt

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip on the ferry to the Island Ste Marguerite. Parking was very convenient at the ferry port and, when I explained that we had arrived a little early, they were kind enough to say that we could go on the earlier crossing.
You get stunning views of Cannes, as you sail away from the ferry port and the crossing itself is quick and pleasant. During the short voyage, the times are relayed for journeys back to the mainland. These are at 15 minutes past each hour, certainly for the majority of the day.
After disembarking from the ferry, we took the slightly more demanding route up to Fort Royal, although we chose not to go in. The views on the ascent were beautiful and there was a mixture of roads, well-preserved forest tracks and steps. A World Heritage site, the island has been beautifully conserved. We found our time on there a welcome change from the glamour of the yachts and sports cars.
After Fort Royal, we visited Crique Pointe du Dragon and two other viewing points on the west side of the island, before returning to the jetty to catch the ferry back to Cannes. A lot of people were sunbathing on the stony beaches or swimming in the clear water and, with a few food kiosks and toilets on the island, we could well imagine spending a relaxing day in this idyllic spot.
Taking a fairly empty lunchtime ferry back to Cannes gave us a chance to engage in conversation with a friendly member of the crew.
